FOUNDER
Vunzai T. Coen is the CEO of Coen Construction Services and Founder of CCSBuilds.org. Born in America and raised in Zimbabwe, she sees the world through a panoramic lens. Guided by her faith and life experiences, she founded her companies in accordance with the core values and strategies she has applied throughout her life and business career.
ISAIH ROWSEY
PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR
Born on Chicago's southside, Isiah Rowsey is a Educator and Carpenter who has been interested and involved in construction since being introduced to carpentry at the age of 15. Being a teacher at his Alma mater, Simeon Career Academy, Isiah chose to take up carpentry as a “major” in high school. This led to a continued interest in construction, where Isiah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology- Education. From there, Rowsey worked in construction and later became a carpentry teacher in 2005. He is also an Entrepreneur and runs his own custom carpentry business, Rowoods LLC. Isaih is passionate and dedicated to aiding young people gain careers in construction.
Partnering with contractors is critical to providing students with work based experiences. Working with CCS Builds has helped develop young apprentices who has learned framing techniques, woodworking and safety. Students that have gone through the CCS Builds program has earned OSHA 10hr construction safety certifications as well as knowledge in construction math, framing, drywalling, and woodworking techniques. With the assistance of CCS Builds, students with an interest in construction has the opportunity to gain experiences in construction that may lead to future career opportunities.
Carmen Scott-Boria
PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Carmen Scott-Boria has over 20 years of experience in youth and community engagement. This also includes program development, event planning, professional training and youth advocacy. Graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a BA in Justice Studies and National Louis University with a MA in Public Policy Administration. Currently serving as the Director of Arts and Culture at The Firehouse Community Arts Center, making sure high quality arts programming are available for youth in the North Lawndale community of Chicago.

The turning point in Treasure's life came when she discovered a passion for the construction industry at the age of 30. With limited formal education, she decided to pursue a career in the trades. This decision would prove to be transformative. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to learning, Treasure quickly excelled in her new field.
